What are the categories? I’m looking for an app like I had on my Palm that password protected my photos from prying eyes.

The current version does not support storing and protecting photos. It is currently focused on the storing of textual data. We will, though, add it to the list of requested features for the next version. Thanks!

Can you add the option to pass work different iPhone functions, ie. SMS, Photos, Email etc…? For example having the ability to move the icons to a different page that is pass protected.

Thats the main reason why i was looking into this app. i wanted something to protect not just my bank info but my photos too.

Please explains more clearly what product does… Your pictures imply storage of static data but also hint at ability to aquire dynamic data such as current account info. Will app dial out from secured phone list? If so, will it keep dialed numbers from being stored in call history of phones call log?

This one looks promising among the others because of the general category. However, is the data currently not encrypted? Holy smokes batman!

Shink: We know encryption is very important and it is nearing ready for release. The upgrade will be free and seamless and you will then be able to move your data over to the encrypted section.
Ken: The application does not acquire dynamic data, all data is explicitly entered by the user. It will, though, dial out from the the password protected phone list. The outbound call will show up in the call history and you will need to delete it from there, but it will not show why or to whom you were making the call.

Hi, just wondering if you are going to create a companion piece of software for Windows XP etc (and the Mac OS of course), where the info in secret safe is synced with the info on the companion software which is password protected as. Looks like a great app though!! Oh and if you are, how far away is it from being created?

Aido431: Yes, we there will be software for Mac and PC that will sync with your Secret Safe. We expect that it will be available (again as a free update) within the next month or two. Thanks for your comments!

Is there a function for entering in the data on my desktop Mac and then transferring over to my iPhone? This will save hours of tedious iPhone keyboard strokes
July 25th, 2008 at 11:26 am
Les: A syncing application is planned as a free update within the next 2 months. You will be able to enter data into the desktop (PC and Mac) and sync it with your iPhone (and vice versa). Thanks for the feedback!

yes, please a desktop sync. No web site ( for security reason).

Just been starting to use this product, so far looks great just what i need on the phone, a few mods so far would be nice.
1. Larger fonts
2. On the credit card we could do with a Valid from before the Expires section.
August 20th, 2008 at 11:46 pm
Andrew: Have you tried version 1.1 yet? It has font size changing. Did you want even bigger fonts than the 5 setting? A valid from setting is a good idea for credit card and we will add that. Thanks for the feedback!

I’m looking for an iPhone utility that will automatically enter my user name and password into the website login page. I can’t tell from Secret Safe info if it does this or not.
Does it?
Thank you.

mac3: Secret Safe does not currently enter the password into the website login page. It is being considered for a future version.

QUESTION:
Can I ask Secret Safe to “password protect” the “Note” field found deep in each “Contact”?
(Contact/Edit/Add Field/Note). In other words, can I place bank account numbers there safely with other information in the “Contact” info for my bank?
PLEASE let me know the answer to this
Thanks! Richard Hallock

Will Secret Safe allow me to ocassionally set up a new category of my choice, thus not totally limiting me to your predetermined categories??

Richard: To be clear, Secret Safe does not protect information in other applications on the iPhone. The Contacts app is another application and therefore not protected. Secret Safe *does* have an internal contact item, to which notes, phone numbers, emails, etc. can be added and protected through encryption and by password.
September 5th, 2008 at 8:52 am
Richard: Secret Safe does not have user-definable categories currently. That is being considered for a future version after the syncing capability. You *can* add notes to each Secret that are unique, and search on them as if it were a category. Thanks for the feedback!

Dear Sirs,
Here’s my story. My Palm T|X died and I desperately want to go to an iPod Touch. However, I had this great program for my Palm called EssentialPIM Pro. It was a feature rich ‘contacts’ program. Four features of which I found I could not live without that I would like to see in your product. First, EPIM has the ability to ‘hide’ private records. As in, they would not show up at all until you entered the password. The second feature is the ability to attach any assortment of files to each contact and the only way to access them was through the files section of said contact. This way, private files were also protected and inaccessable without the password. Third, EPIM allows a picture to be associated with, and displays, when a contact record is selected. Lastly, contacts could be categorized. Thank you for your considerations.

Stuart:
1. Hiding private records - Secret Safe currently hides all private secrets. They will not be visible even in list form until you enter your password.
2. Attaching Files - There is no current file attachment capability. We will consider it for a future version.
3. Attaching pictures - There is no current picture attachment capability. We are discussing the ability to use the camera to take photos to be stored in the Secret. This would be a beyond 1.5 feature.
4. Categorizing - Currently there is a main contacts section. But, the contact can be categorized through the notes field. For instance, type “Client” into the note field for a contact, then search for Client and only contacts with that note will show up in the search results.
Thanks for the feedback, we love interacting with users and potential users and incorporating the ideas that people want the most!
